A proven, scalable technology business —
with compounding upside the data makes possible.
Kompete is a validated sports technology company — hardware that captures athlete performance data, software that benchmarks it, and a 250,000-record proprietary database built over 12 years across 8 countries. The seed round funds the pathway to a $10–15M business built entirely on real, recurring revenue. The database is the upside nobody else can replicate.

The problem
Parents spend. Nobody measures.
Youth sports is a $20B+ industry in North America alone. The average family spends over $1,000 annually on youth athletics — often significantly more. Yet there is no standardized way to answer the question every parent, coach, and athlete is asking:

"Where does my athlete actually stand — and is this investment working?"

Without benchmarked, standardized data, coaches guess, parents hope, and athletes develop blindly. 70% of youth athletes quit by age 13 — in part because no one can show them where they stand or where they're going.
Our solution
Hardware + data + mobile. One platform.
Kompete deploys precision timing and biomechanical hardware (Kapture systems, force plates, RFID gates) through a network of certified operators — coaches, academies, hockey associations, and combine event organizers.

Every test feeds the KORE™ platform — benchmarking athletes against 250,000 age, sport, and position-normalized peers. Results reach athletes and families through the Athlete Lounge mobile app, coaches through team dashboards, and organizations through aggregate analytics.

The flywheel: more operators → more tests → richer benchmarks → stronger platform → more operators.
Who we serve — customer segments
Three distinct buyers. One connected platform.
▶ Consumer
Athletes & Families
Youth athletes ages 8–18 and their parents seeking objective benchmarking, development tracking, and proof that their investment is working. Highest volume, most direct emotional need, and the primary driver of network growth. Every family is a potential subscriber.
Mobile app subscription · $5–$99/mo per athlete
▶ Operator / Team
Coaches, Academies & Associations
Individual coaches, training academies, minor hockey associations, combine event operators, and youth leagues. They deploy Kompete hardware, run tests through the KORE™ platform, and deliver benchmarked reports — becoming certified operators who generate data at scale while building their own service offering.
Hardware $2.5K one-time · SaaS $1.2K/yr
▶ Enterprise
Governing Bodies & Elite Orgs
National governing bodies (USA Hockey, USA Lacrosse), professional leagues (USHL, WHL), player associations (NFLPA), and collegiate programs. They license Kompete as official evaluation infrastructure and access the database for scouting, player development analytics, and institutional reporting — the data licensing revenue layer.

Re-engagement pipeline note: The 45+ former Sport Testing operators in our pipeline are trained, certified, and hardware-familiar — they have previously paid for, used, and validated this product. They are not cold prospects. They represent a demand-proven distribution network that requires a migration offer, not a sales pitch. Conversion assumptions in our model are conservative. The absence of customer acquisition cost on this channel is a structural advantage.

Why now
Validation is in. Capture is the job.
  • Demand is proven: 45+ trained operators already validated the product. A distribution partner paid $90K upfront for 3 years of exclusivity before the full platform launched. That is the signal.
  • Elite logos are in hand: USHL signed. USA Hockey verbal. NFLPA event executed. These credentials open every door in youth sports below them.
  • Zero CAC on re-engagement: The operator pipeline requires no advertising or education. They know the product. The offer is simply migration to a better one.
  • Mobile unlocks the consumer layer: Hardware generates data. The app monetizes it to families — new recurring revenue on existing infrastructure.

Competitive moat
Three walls no competitor can climb
  • The database: 250K+ records, 12 years, 8 countries, 4 continents. Age-normalized, sport-specific, NHL Draft-correlated. It cannot be purchased, replicated, or fast-followed — only grown. Every new test makes it more valuable.
  • The relationships: NHL Central Scouting. USA Hockey. USHL. NFLPA. These are executed agreements built on 12+ years of delivered service — not logos acquired for a pitch deck.
  • The operator network: 45+ trained, certified operators across 6 countries. A distribution channel that took a decade to build — now being reactivated as a recurring revenue pipeline with near-zero acquisition cost.
The deeper opportunity: The $1M seed builds a $10–15M technology and services business on revenue alone. The 250K database — licensed to colleges, governing bodies, scouting services, and media — is what turns that into the definitive youth performance data infrastructure. We don't model it to justify this round. The business case stands without it.
Exit framework — three paths to investor return
Base case 3–5x. Built on real revenue — with three distinct paths beyond that.
Path 1
Hardware + Software Technology Business
A profitable, scalable sports tech platform with recurring SaaS revenue, hardware distribution, and elite institutional clients. Acquirable by sports analytics players, timing equipment companies, or sports media groups. Conservative exit: $15–30M. 3–5x on seed capital.
Path 2
"Sport Radar of Youth Performance Data"
Database licensed at scale to colleges, national governing bodies, scouting services, and leagues. The 250K record head start is the structural advantage — every new test compounds it. Kompete becomes data infrastructure for the entire youth sports ecosystem. Strategic exit: $50–150M+.
Path 3
Content-Driven Consumer App at Scale
The Athlete Lounge mobile app — at scale across youth sports verticals — becomes a consumer platform with network effects, content, and community. Think Strava meets MaxPreps meets Hudl. Network effects compound in ways that are difficult to model and easy to underestimate. Platform exit: $100M+ at scale.
The $1M seed is sized to build the business, not the exit. A $10M valuation cap means investors enter at a price reflecting today's validated traction — not tomorrow's database potential. The goal is a sustainable, revenue-generating company that grows into its upside rather than betting on it from day one.
